Lockdown 2020

May 14, 2020

So I was nominated by www.tummy2mummy.net to talk about what I have learned during 2020 lockdown.

One of the main things I have learned is that my patience is a lot lower than what I thought it was.
I'm not cut out to be a teacher and the teachers differently need a very high pay rise to deal with our kids daily.
I will salute you every day I have to drop off my monsters because they are dumb as hell.

We got a puppy a few weeks ago and I thought it be a lot easier than what I thought it would be, I thought springer spaniels were meant to be smart.

also, I thought I had finished with being awake throughout the night but nope puppies do need to pee and poop at 3am.

I am struggling badly right now, my husband has been bed-bound for over 3 days now with a sickness bug and its been really hard to be a mother and wife.

we think we all should clap for single mothers too especially is they have more than one child.

bedtime has gone out the window now too and by the time I've put both kids to bed, I'm that tired its a miracle that I can keep my eyes open to sort out my temp bed, who knew that you had to sleep next to the puppy while they are in the cage.

and can you guess I still wake up to both kids in bed with me while their father has a whole dam kingsize bed all to himself?

Youtube and Xbox have become the new parent and I don't even care, to be honest, sure they get out in the garden when it isn't that hot as both myself and Connor get ill by too much sun, oh the joys of being a fair head.

so what I am saying is that I love my kids and husband but I honestly don't know how long I can last before I go crazy.

one plus out of all of this, I went and quit my job cleaning, 5:20am to 8am daily, like who needs to be up that early.

Haha me because the kids are up at 5am every morning because the dog wakes them up.

Also whats a normal tone of voice? I'm honestly surprised I haven't lost my voice yet with all the shouting I'm doing.

Rant over but its all not bad things and I would hate it that if I went bad and looked at my time in lockdown to remember all the bad things so here is all the good things that I have done in lockdown.

I am loving Craig being home 24/7 he is loving being able to spend all his time with us as one of the things he hated while working was not seeing the kids that much.

letting kids be kids and not worry about school and what's happening in the world, they don't need that type of stress early in their life.

the kids are absolutely loving having mummy sand daddy home, Connor keeps saying how he hates it when I have to leave for work.

all the DIY I haven't been able to do while Craig was at work! I still need to finish the kitchen off and sort out the kid's bedroom, fix our bed as its broke but its something I'm looking forward too.

we are having so much money on diesel as we aren't using the car which means that the whole can slowly heal at the moment as most people aren't using their cars.

I know its a scary time right now  but I'm taking each day as it comes and trying not to think of the future because I go by what newt says from fbawtft,
"My philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice.”

So what's the point in making my anxiety worse?

I would love to know what you have learned during the lockdown?

Just a little update, i actually wrote this a few weeks ago but never got round to posting but ive gotten out of the dark place i was in when i wrote this, Craig is all better now thank god! he had been bed ridden for 5 days but i have decided not to change antthing in this post as i want people to understand the struggle i went through and to know that even when every thing feels impossible there is a light at the end, it might take a few days maybe even weeks but it will end and then you can take that breath you have been struggling with.

I nominate
